Coconut sugar is a palm sugar produced from the sap of the flower bud stem of the coconut palm. Coconut sugar, as the name implies, is derived from the coconut fruit of the coconut palm tree. Scientifically known as Cocos nucifera. Coconut sugar retains many nutrients found in the coconut palm — mostly iron, zinc, calcium, and potassium. Coconut sugar also contains the soluble fiber inulin, which is linked to a lower risk of blood sugar spikes. 

Palm Jaggery is made from the extract of palm trees.  Palm Jaggery is obtained without the use of chemicals such as Sulphur dioxide, and bleaching agents. Palm Jaggery or Karupatti is more beneficial than refined sugar. It is primarily used as a natural sweetener to cleanse your body. It also acts as a digestive agent and provides energy. Palm Jaggery is loaded with minerals and vitamins. It has low Glycemic Index (GI) as compared to Sugarcane Jaggery which is beneficial for Diabetis patients.

Research studies have found that it contains minerals like potassium, phosphorus, zinc, iron, manganese and copper; small amounts of phytonutrients such as polyphenols, flavonoids and anthocyanidin; and antioxidants.
